ABOUT ME

Originally from East New York, Brooklyn, Ayendy Bonifacio is a poet, photographer, Ph.D. student, and teaching associate at The Ohio State University English department. He studies nineteenth-century American Literature with a focus on periodical culture and poetry. His research interests are newspaper poetry and literature, women writers, communications, journalism, and serialization. Bonifacio’s poetry and photography contemplate questions of identity, education, writing, and mindfulness. His poems and book reviews have been featured and are forthcoming in The Journal: A Literary Magazine, The Olivetree Review, The Rocky Mountain Review, ¿Qué Pasa, OSU?, The Syzygy Poetry Journal, Odd Ball Poetry Magazine, Juked, and aaduna. His photographs have been featured in Change Seven Magazine and Young Ravens Literary Review.
